The House of Representatives failed Thursday evening to hold its extraordinary session on the results of the legislative elections.
Informed sources told Mawazine News that “the House of Representatives failed to hold its extraordinary session after the submission of a number of deputies request to the Presidency of the parliament to hold.”
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that “the reason for the failure of the Council was the result of the achievement of a quorum to hold the hearing.”
The legal expert Tariq Harb, also today, that the abolition of the results of legislative elections by the Iraqi Council of Representatives needs to enact a new law.
