Reuters revealed on Wednesday that the French military is moving to hold meetings with the armies of countries willing to open the Strait of Hormuz.
Reuters, quoting the French military, said that “the video conference between the French Chief of Staff and the military leaders who want to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz will have nothing to do with Washington’s approach.”
He added that “the French Chief of Staff will hold a video conference soon with military leaders who wish to contribute to restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.”
On Saturday, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with military strikes on its power plants if it did not fully open the Strait of Hormuz “without threat” within 48 hours, before changing the deadline to 5 days.
