The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan region denied, on Wednesday, any human or material losses caused by the Iranian missile attack on Erbil.
The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government stated, with a press statement, that “there were no human and material losses that did not occur during the fall of the rockets in Erbil.”
In a related development, the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masroor Barzani, received a phone call from the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.
Barzani said that he presented to US Secretary of State Pompeo several proposals to calm the situation.
It is worth noting that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards had announced the implementation of missile attacks against the two bases of Ain al-Assad in Anbar and Erbil in the Kurdistan region, which includes American forces, in retaliation for Washington’s assassination of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in an air strike near Baghdad International Airport.
