On Wednesday, the Federal Supreme Court issued a final and binding decision towards the Kurdistan Regional Government to hand over oil and non-oil revenues to Baghdad.
The President of the Court, Jassim Al-Amiri, said during the appeal session regarding the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, followed by “Al-Maalouma”: “It was decided to oblige the submission of the monthly budget for the region’s employees to the Federal Ministry of Finance.”
He added, “The court also decided to oblige the region’s Council of Ministers to hand over all oil and non-oil revenues to the federal government.”
The court decided to oblige the governments of Baghdad and Erbil to localize the salaries of all employees and retirees of the Kurdistan region in government banks.
