The Independent High Electoral Commission announced on Sunday that the election results will be sent to the Federal Court for ratification within the next two days. The head of the commission’s media team, Imad Jamil, stated in a statement to the official agency that “the Electoral Commission is keen to announce the results and deliver the tapes to the political entities, and it was accurate on this matter,” indicating that “all appeals did not contain tapes confirming that there are results different from the results announced by the commission.”
He added that “some appeals concerned the quota for seat allocation, but the 2025 electoral system was accurate in distributing these seats,” explaining that “the Commission is keen to expedite the remaining steps, and the Board of Commissioners will submit the election results to the Federal Court for ratification within the next two days.” He also mentioned that “the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, always emphasizes the need to expedite the ratification of the election results.”
