The exchange rate in the Iranian free market continued to record consecutive record levels, coinciding with escalating tensions in the region and the intensification of the confrontation between the United States and Iran, with the price of the dollar exceeding 250,000 tomans.
Monitoring prices in the Iranian free market on Tuesday showed that the price of the dollar rose by 2.54 percent compared to the previous day, reaching 250,200 tomans.
The price of the euro also exceeded 284,000 tomans, and the British pound 331,000 tomans.
The price of the UAE dirham reached 67,080 tomans, while the Turkish lira was traded at 5,110 tomans.
The gold market also witnessed a significant increase. The price of the new gold coin, known as the “Emami,” reached 280 million tomans, while the smaller gold coin reached 45 million tomans.
In recent days, the United States has intensified its campaign of economic pressure on Iran, seeking to restrict the regime’s financial lifelines.
The naval blockade, the prevention of the sale of Iranian oil, and the closure of oil revenue transfer routes are at the forefront of this campaign.
