The Kurdistan Democratic Party confirmed, on Monday, the possibility of passing its candidate for the presidency of the republic, pointing out that the designate, Reaper Ahmed, will pass comfortably in the House of Representatives.
Kurdistan Democratic Party deputy Sharif Suleiman said in a statement to Al-Maalouma that “there are two options to pass the President of the Republic, the first of which is consensus and understanding with the rest of the political blocs to pass the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s candidate, Reber Ahmed.”
He added, “The second matter is the KDP’s reliance on its allies in the tripartite alliance to achieve a parliamentary quorum and pass its candidate comfortably.”
