Today, Monday, the Council of Ministers approved, during its session chaired by Parliament Speaker Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, the draft budget law and referred it to the House of Representatives.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement that “the cabinet approved the draft federal budget law for the fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025, in its regular session, held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani.”
The statement added, “The Council of Ministers decided to refer the general budget to the House of Representatives.”
Earlier today, Monday, the Council of Ministers held its regular session, chaired by Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, to discuss the draft public financial budget.
