On Saturday, the coordination popular movement called on the government and parliament to pursue former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi for participating in the assassination of Al-Nasr leaders.
The movement’s spokesman, Muhammad al-Sahaf, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, is involved in numerous charges against the Popular Mobilization Forces and its national leaders, including the crime of assassinating the leaders of Al-Nasr, when he was then prime minister.”
He added, “Parliament and the government are required to prosecute Al-Kazemi and a number of officers in the intelligence service, and everyone whose name is mentioned, and refer them to the judiciary on many charges, including the assassination of the leaders of Al-Nasr and the arrest of a number of the leadership of the Popular Mobilization Forces.”
And a member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Al-Zubaidi, had made it clear in a previous statement that Al-Kazemi was convicted of assassinating the leaders of Al-Nasr and infiltrating the security services, as he sought to escape punishment by fleeing from Iraq through Kurdistan and towards Dubai.
