Today, Monday, the Central Bank of Iraq announced the opening of an outlet for selling dollars at Baghdad International Airport.
And the bank stated in a statement, that “a new outlet has been opened to sell dollars in cash to travelers at Baghdad International Airport through the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), and the sale will start as of tomorrow, Tuesday, corresponding to 1/10/2023, for travelers, with a maximum of (5000) US dollars.” .
It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Iraq had earlier expanded the number of bank outlets for selling foreign currency from 20 banks to include all included and willing banks, after the success achieved by its initiative to enhance the stability of the currency price in the local markets, in which we confirmed that the rise in the exchange rate is a temporary condition.
