The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) on Friday urged caution when reporting and circulating news not published on its official website, which is sometimes covered by local media outlets. The CBI emphasized that circulating such news without verifying the source harms the national economy and the interests of citizens.
In a statement received by Al-Maalouma News Agency, the bank stressed the “necessity for all media outlets to rely on reporting news from official sources, which are published exclusively on the bank’s official website and its verified pages on social media platforms.”
The Central Bank indicated that “following its news and updates is available through the official links published on its approved channels.”
