The Central Bank of Iraq sells more than a billion dollars in 5 daysShafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq achieved total sales of hard currency (US dollars) exceeding one billion during the past week, through a currency auction that lasted for five days.

According to Shafaq News Agency correspondent, the total sales of the Central Bank of the US dollar during the past week amounted to one billion, 483 million, 683 thousand, and 938 dollars, at a daily rate of 296 million, 736 thousand, and 787 dollars.

This rate has increased compared to the previous week, in which the average daily sales amounted to $291,596,090.

The highest dollar sales were recorded on Tuesday, reaching $300,991,364, while the lowest sales were on Wednesday, reaching $291,927,533.

The correspondent pointed out that foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 1 billion, 393 million, 83 thousand, and 938 dollars, while cash sales amounted to 90 million, 600 thousand dollars.
