The new Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Nizar Nasser, began his official duties today, Monday, accompanied by the former Governor, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, while he conducted a field tour of the various offices and departments of the bank to review the progress of work.
The Central Bank’s media office stated in a statement received by Al-Furat News that “Nizar Nasser was accompanied during the tour by former governor Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, where they were briefed on the nature of the tasks and duties carried out by the various departments and directorates in the Central Bank.”
During his tour, Nizar stressed the importance of continuing institutional work and enhancing performance efficiency in order to contribute to achieving the goals of the Central Bank of Iraq and consolidating financial and monetary stability.
The new governor of the Central Bank praised “the efforts made during the previous phase under the leadership of the former governor, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, and the achievements that contributed to the development of the banking sector and the strengthening of the national economy.”
