Shafaq News/ The “Iraq Future” Foundation, which is concerned with economic affairs, reported on Friday that the amount of deposits in Iraqi banks has increased to reach 100 trillion dinars.
The head of the foundation, Manar Al-Obaidi, said in a report published today, that the amount of deposits rose to 99 trillion dinars until July 2022, while its amount was 83 trillion dinars in January of the year 2021.
He added that deposits with private banks amount to 20% of the total deposits, noting that five private banks account for 51% of the total private sector deposits.
The report of the Economic Corporation estimated the volume of cash outside the banking system at 70 trillion dinars.
