A security source in Anbar Governorate revealed on Wednesday that the international coalition forces led by the United States have created new buildings for their forces inside the Ain al-Assad base building, west of Anbar.
The source told Al-Maalouma that “the US-led international coalition forces have created new buildings inside the Ain al-Assad air base in the al-Baghdadi area in the Hit district, west of Anbar, against the backdrop of the imminent arrival of new additional combat forces to reinforce their presence inside the base building.”
He added that “the American forces had previously annexed new areas to the base building for the purpose of constructing new buildings and had contracted with Iraqi contractors to provide building materials in preparation for starting to construct new buildings for the American forces to sleep in, in addition to other buildings that were not disclosed.”
He explained that “the international coalition forces led by America have increased the presence of their forces inside the Al-Assad base building without knowing the real reasons behind the increase in the number of their forces.”
He pointed out that “the runway of Al-Assad base has witnessed, during the current period, the landing of giant American cargo planes without knowing their load.”
