Shafaq News/ Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, revealed on Friday that there is a good chance of reaching an agreement with the United States on the nuclear issue.
“Tehran is ready for serious and constructive dialogue based on mutual respect,” Ravanchi added in a statement carried by Iranian state media, stressing that cooperation is the best way to resolve the existing differences between Iran and the United States .
He explained, “Iran has held consultations with China, Russia, and three European countries over the past few months regarding its nuclear program,” adding that Tehran believes in dialogue and interaction based on mutual respect .
The Iranian official stressed that “any form of threat or arrogance is completely unacceptable to us,” considering negotiation and regional cooperation the best option for addressing regional issues .
These statements come amid accelerated diplomatic activity surrounding indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States in the Sultanate of Oman on Saturday. Regional and international efforts are underway to revive the stalled negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue .
In turn, Ali Shamkhani, political advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, revealed that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to the Sultanate of Oman with full authority to conduct indirect negotiations with Washington .
Shamkhani said, “Tehran seeks a realistic and fair agreement without media spectacle… If Washington shows sincere intentions, the path to an agreement is clear and smooth .”
