Tehran announces its full readiness to ensure “safe passage” through the Strait of Hormuz

The Revolutionary Guard’s naval force confirmed on Saturday its ability to meet the requests of all ships wishing to cross the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian television quoted the Revolutionary Guard’s naval force as saying that all sailors are now communicating with the Revolutionary Guard’s naval force for safer and easier passage.
The statement from the Revolutionary Guard’s navy comes after the British newspaper “Financial Times” reported, citing informed sources, earlier on Saturday, that commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz did not benefit from the American insurance coverage program, despite plans announced by President Donald Trump.
Last March, US President Donald Trump announced that the US Navy would begin escorting oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible when necessary, noting that Washington would provide insurance for all commercial shipments passing through it at “very reasonable” prices.
