Al-Mutalibi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The case of theft of 2.5 billion dollars in tax funds for the Rafidain Bank has become an issue of public opinion and it is not possible to be silent, lax, or cover it up under any circumstances,” noting that “the street today considers the case a test of the will of the judiciary.” in front of the power of the corrupt.
He added, “If the judiciary resolves this case of theft, it will be a door to open more dangerous or similar files,” noting that “the Sudanese government will close the doors and windows of corruption, to launch the war on the corrupt completely, because stopping corruption is the first and necessary step to combat it completely.”
Yesterday, Wednesday, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Sarwa Abdul Wahed, announced the intention of its committee to submit a comprehensive technical report on the file of lost money from tax trusts.
