Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Minister of Planning, Muhammad Tamim, confirmed on Monday that the Iraqi government is working to expand its economic and international partnerships with the United States.
Tamim said during a joint press conference with US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, followed by Shafaq News Agency, that “the Iraqi government warns of the expanding escalation and calls for restraint.”
He added, “Today we are focusing on the agriculture, industry, investment and energy sectors, and the Iraqi government is working to expand its economic and international partnerships and gas investment.”
While Blinken said: “We held a fruitful meeting with Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and we discussed the Supreme Military Committee.”
He continued, “The Sudanese visit is an important step to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.”
Blinken pointed out that “the American investment sector is important in Iraq, and we are pleased to see Iraq succeeding in the economic, investment, and energy issues.”
