So…I called my CBI contact to get an update on the situation in Iraq…I was told was some very good news. This news stems around the new assignment just given to my contact on a team, recently put together that is responsible for supervising the rollout of the newer lower denominations and the redenomination process…it is telling me the implementation of the project to delete the zeros is so VERY CLOSE at hand…I was told it will be moving forward in the coming days not months. It is being “artificially suppressed”! But most importantly…many other financial wizards, much more knowledgeable than I, also feel this way. 9-8-2023 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat I believe there is nothing more for the CBI to do but to issue the lower denominations and them to watch for inflation over a period, as their plan states they will do, and if all goes well, they liberate their currency to the global markets as in FOREX. I thought we needed the Oil and Gas Law passed first? Yes, I still believe they do and we might have to wait for it. But there is a chance that based on how fast the economy is growing they may just put that on the back burner and rethink it (remember that Dr Shababi in 2012-2013 did not have this law passed, yet he was moving forward). 9-7-2023 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat Iraq records the highest oil revenues since the start of 2023 which is also 2/3 more oil pumped than in 1991. The dinar rate in 1991 was over USD $3. So why is the currency still being under valued? Yes, it is important to get out of a “rentier economy” based solely on oil and this will also create yet more wealth. But what about right now…I am talking about today! Doesn’t the oil wealth mean anything? Doesn’t the 113 billion in reserves and 132 tons of gold mean anything? Big things like joining the World Trade organization as an observer status…which has been ongoing since 2004…in February to August we see they are gearing up for full ascension to the WTO and this is a big deal. They will be out in the world economy again and in the global financial system. My understanding is they have the security and stability in the country…enough that we can see all the countries making deals and doing things with Iraq. …Iraq is going to make a lot of money…once they have an article 8 exchange rate …that is required…For full ascension…all of us will have a different venue in a short period of time. By adding these three zeros it circumvents any real profit for us investors until they delete the zeros and issue the newer notes. I’m not saying they’re using 2 exchange rates. That’s against the law. But there’s nothing against the law to have two sets of books.
