3-2-2021 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat Article: “AL-KHALIDI IS SURPRISED THAT THE CABINET HAS FORMED A COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE CONSEQUENCES OF CHANGING THE CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE” So, is this proposal to change the exchange rate just to change it back to 1250 before the devaluation to 1450 or is it to 1:1 with the US dollar and give the Iraqi dinar the strength it really deserves? At this time they’re only auctioning off the US dollar abroad – outside the country of Iraq. They’ve been doing this for about the last 2 weeks. They raise the value then they get rid of the bills that have all the zeros…its called deleting the zeros and everybody panics when they hear this…do not…. It goes to the thinking that a new formula is based of a future exchange rate differential. They will have to have be part of the electronic system at the borders to exclusively to the non oil revenues to the treasury. But the Iraqi dinar has no value – not only for the citizens but also for the government to run its country especially with the budget at those astronomical numbers. The IMF knows this too. And the World Bank knows this too. Both of them have said very clearly Iraq is in the process of raising the value of their currency…the stoppage of the auctions is a step of the monetary reform of the Iraqi dinar…it is a crucial step in adding value, lifting the 3 zeros from their exchange rate and it’s being done.
