The leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Abdul Wahab Al-Bilawi, revealed today, Wednesday, the agreement of all Sunni political forces to choose the new Speaker of Parliament from outside the Taqaddam Party, while confirming that Al-Halbousi’s party views the other blocs as opponents and not competitors or allies.

Al-Bilawi said, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, that “Al-Halbousi continues to offer temptations to some tribal leaders in order to maintain control over the governorate,” noting that “falsifying thousands of transactions in government departments has caused the salaries of many wounded and deserving people to be cut.”
He continued, “The component needs a popular and tribal revolution to change the miserable political reality that the Sunni component is experiencing at the present time,” pointing out “the necessity of nominating a person to head the new parliament, provided that he is not from the Taqaddum Party.”
Al-Bilawi concluded his speech: “The expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, continues his attempts to dismantle Anbar Governorate with the support of the Gulf states,” adding that “all Sunni political forces agree to choose the new Speaker of Parliament from outside the Taqadum Party.”
The leader of the Al-Hassa Alliance, Laith Al-Dulaimi, confirmed in an interview with the “Al-Ma’louma” agency, “The presence of 41 Sunni representatives, including members of Taqadum, who support Salem Al-Issawi for the presidency of Parliament,” while pointing to the political consensus heading towards ending Al-Halbousi’s influence.
