Sudanese advisor sets a date for sending the budget to parliament

The financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, suggested, on Sunday, that the draft budget law be sent to parliament next week, indicating that the size of the budget will not, in any case, exceed 200 trillion dinars.
“It is very likely that the Council of Ministers will endorse by the end of next week the draft federal budget law for the year 2023, and send it to the House of Representatives for approval as soon as possible,” Saleh said, in a press statement seen by “Digla”.
He pointed out that “the figures that are being circulated are all scenarios and expectations, but the budget for the year 2023 will not eventually exceed 200 trillion Iraqi dinars,” noting that “Iraq relies on securing 90% of its revenues from oil marketing and sales operations.”
