Today, Sunday, State of Law Coalition member Saad Al-Mutalibi criticized the negotiating delegation in Washington and its way of dealing with the Americans, holding it responsible for the concessions it made to the Americans.

Al-Mutalibi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The negotiating delegation in Washington did not discuss ending the American presence, but rather increased the complexity of this file,” noting that the delegation signed a restriction on Iraqi armament from America.

He added, “The United States, which imposed huge sums of money on Iraq, is returning today through a delegation that should have discussed ending the American presence to set its conditions to limit the arming of the Iraqi security forces to America,” noting that “the Americans did not stand with Iraq during the war on the terrorist ISIS on the issue of arming.”

Al-Mutalibi concluded his statement by saying: “The negotiating delegation’s going to Washington greatly harmed the file of ending the American presence,” calling on the House of Representatives to “question the government and the delegation and investigate the file of ending the American presence.”

During the Iraqi delegation’s visit to Washington, the Iraqi and American sides stressed the importance of continuing cooperation to ensure the sustainability of American-made military equipment used by Iraqi security forces.
