State of law appeals the budget to the Federal Court

The State of Law Coalition announced, on Wednesday, that it will file an appeal with the Federal Court regarding the provisions of the 2021 budget.
The deputy for the coalition, Atwan Al-Atwani, said, according to the official agency, that “the appeal was submitted to the Federal Court regarding the budget, as it is the only body to complain about and challenge legislative decisions issued by the House of Representatives.”
Al-Atwani added, “There is great harm to the Iraqi citizen as a result of the approval and legislation of the budget law, because it did not take into account the economic and financial situation and the circumstances the country is going through.”
He pointed out, “There are reactions consistent with the vision of the State of Law coalition that the decision to raise the price of the dollar has a significant impact on the citizen.”
