The Parliamentary Legal Committee confirmed, on Sunday, that the adoption of the oil and gas law has become mandatory, while indicating that many laws will be discussed after the legislative recess.
A member of the Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami, said in a televised interview followed by Al-Maalouma Agency, “The oil and gas law was agreed upon politically before the government’s approval, as the state administration coalition agreed in principle to approve the oil and gas law, in addition to the decision of the Federal Court and the International Arbitration Court not to Delivery of any amount to the Kurdistan region.
He added, “The central government and the region are obligated to approve the oil and gas law, and it is hoped to start discussing it after the budget.”
Al-Hamami indicated, “The House of Representatives will discuss, after the legislative recess, a number of laws that affect citizens, including the law regulating slums.”
