Russia plans to supply Iraq with combat helicopters under the contract between the two countries.
The news agency Interfax Russian that “Russia will provide Iraq helicopters type [Ca 52], where it was in the air show [Le Bourget] Abram export contract initially, to supply Iraq with helicopters, combat [Ca 52] alligator and model Mi-28NE”.
The agency added that “an agreement was signed for the supply of military equipment worth $ 4.2 billion between Iraqi and Russian parties in 2012 and thanks to the signature Le Bourget officially enter into force of the Agreement.”
The Iraqi government has concluded at the beginning of last October 2012 a number of arms deals with the State of Russia and the Czech Republic during a visit by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to them.
