Member of the State of Law Coalition, Sabah Al-Bazouni, stressed today, Saturday, the need to review the security agreement previously signed with the American forces and work to quickly remove those forces.

Al-Bazouni said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The land of Iraq remains proud and possesses sovereignty and rejects the American presence in all its forms,” indicating that “Iraq does not need these forces as it is capable of protecting its internal security.”

He called on the “joint committee tasked with ending this presence to make a correct and national decision that satisfies the principle of sovereignty and the Iraqi people, as this public is eager for this exit and wants to be the master of its own decision.”

He called for “reconsidering the security agreement previously signed with the United States in order to control the pace and ensure that its movements, orders and decisions are not permitted on Iraqi soil,” noting that “the presence of these forces is considered a provocation to the Iraqi people on the basis that they are an occupying force.”

It is noteworthy that the current government has formed joint committees to work on expelling the Americans after the numerous violations committed by those forces on the country’s territory.
