Republican Proposal: Trump’s Picture on $100 Bill Instead of Franklin

Shafaq News/ A Republican member of the US Congress has submitted a bill proposing the issuance of a new $100 bill bearing the image of President Donald Trump instead of the image of Benjamin Franklin.
“Putting Trump on the $100 bill is an appreciation for everything he’s going to accomplish over the next four years,” Representative Brandon Gill, a Texas representative, told Fox News.
Gill called the bill the “Golden Age Act of 2025,” according to the text posted on Fox News.
The proposal follows similar initiatives, with South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson announcing in February a bill to create a $250 bill featuring Trump’s image.
In June 2024, Rep. Paul Gosar, of Arizona, introduced a similar bill to issue a $500 bill featuring the image of the US president.
The $100 bill features Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), a scientist, inventor, diplomat, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, best known for his experiments with electricity and his contributions to the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.
