Qaani recommends the framework not to be excluded..and Al-Sudani - The political blocs have no intention of excluding the SadristsShafaq News/ An informed political source revealed, on Tuesday, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani assured the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ismail Qaani, that the political blocs have no intention of removing Sadrist officials from their government positions.

The source told Shafaq News agency, “During Qaani’s meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, and then with the leaders of the coordination framework, Qaani asked not to exclude the Sadrists from their positions in the state, in order to avoid provoking them.”

He pointed out that “Al-Sudani confirmed to Qaani that he or the political blocs had no such intention in this direction.”

The source added, “Qaani also told Al-Sudani to ease the steps to exclude government officials affiliated with the government movement led by Ammar al-Hakim, as well as those affiliated with former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.”

Earlier today, the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ismail Qaani, arrived in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on an unannounced visit, during which he held several meetings, the most prominent of which was with the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani.

An informed political source told Shafaq News agency, that Qaani held a meeting with the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, upon his arrival this morning, during which he affirmed Tehran’s support for the new federal government, indicating that the Quds Force commander discussed with Rashid and Al-Sudani a number of common security files.

He added that Qaani held, also today, a meeting with a number of leaders of the coordination framework and the Shiite armed factions, and during the meeting they discussed developments in the Iraqi political arena.
