Shafaq News/ The Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq commented today, Thursday, on changing the announced results of the provincial council elections after the end of the manual counting and sorting process.
A member of the Commission’s media team, Hassan Hadi, told Shafaq News Agency, “The manual counting and sorting process began two hours ago, and the period specified for completing this process is three days. The work is taking place in two morning and evening work shifts, and there are (125) employees on the Karkh side and the same number on the Al-Karkh side.” “Rusafa.”
He pointed out that “the counting process is taking place in the presence of local and international observers, as well as representatives of entities and the media.”
Hadi stated, “It is not possible to know if the counting and sorting process will change the announced election results significantly. This matter will become clear after the process ends and the results are announced at (100%) within the next few days.”
