BAGHDAD / JD / .. confirmed the association of private banks, that the re-opening of a branch of the Rafidain Bank in London will boost economic and trade relations between Iraq and Britain, and will facilitate the entry of Iraq to world markets.
The executive director of the Association Abdul Aziz Hassoun told / JD /: that “the Rafidain Bank was the first Arab bank has opened in London in 1951 and continued his work to the nineties of the last century, after the issue of Iraq’s debt, which led to the cessation of the bank.”
He added: “The presence of the bank again in London, which is one of the biggest centers of global trade will serve Iraq and its economy is not at the level of markets, the British, but global markets, because it would be continued for the largest bank in the world, the Bank of England will work under the supervision and control, which will make the bank versed access to global markets. ”
