President Barham Saleh stresses the need to speed up early elections

President Barham Salih stressed today, Monday, the need to expedite the approval of the election law to ensure that a date is set for early elections.
During his meeting with the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Al-Kaabi, Saleh discussed developments in the political, security and economic situation in the country.
A presidential statement seen by Noun Agency stated that “the meeting discussed the developments of political, security and economic conditions in the country, and the efforts made by state agencies to address the Corona pandemic.”
The two sides stressed, according to the statement, “The necessity of expediting the approval of the election law in a manner that guarantees setting a date for early elections that are transparent and allow fair participation of citizens.”
