A leader in the United Anbar Alliance, Mohammed Al-Dhari, revealed today, Sunday, that the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its readiness to activate the arrest warrant for Al-Julani issued by the Iraqi judicial courts.
Al-Dhari said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, “The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its readiness to activate the arrest warrant for Al-Julani issued by the Iraqi judicial courts after the concerned authorities submitted official copies of the crime filed against the terrorist Al-Julani and a copy of the judgment in absentia issued against him to complete his trial.”
He added that “Al-Julani’s case has become a source of controversy that violates all international norms, from a terrorist figure to a head of state enjoying immunity and diplomatic privileges,” indicating that “we must be aware of the fact that there is an international will that seeks to ensure that Al-Julani has a role and influence in the next phase, and the countries of the world must hold those involved in terrorism accountable, regardless of their position, and refer them to international judicial courts.”
He stressed that “the Egyptian government is one of the governments that recognized the al-Julani government, but the application of the law against wanted persons is something that cannot be ignored under any pretext. It was surprising that many countries recognized the al-Julani government.”
