Today, Tuesday, the popular movement expressed its rejection of conducting a general population census in the presence of the American occupation due to the imposition of the Black House’s guardianship over government decisions.
The head of the regulatory authority, Hussein Ali Al-Karaawi Al-Karaawi, said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The government seeks to achieve the census on paper only, even if it is at the expense of Iraq’s interests first.”
He added, “Iraq does not trust a government that conspires against Iraq and trades with the future of its people. Tens of thousands of ISIS members are receiving the rights of martyrs. How and who is behind that we do not know. The region has hundreds of thousands of alien employees and the prime minister cannot enter the region except with Barzani’s approval.”
He pointed out that “conducting the census under the American occupation is rejected because of the imposition of the Black House’s guardianship over the government’s decisions, and all politicians are aware of the actions of others, what they have done, and what they will do in the future to achieve gains at the expense of the largest component, and until the day it is conducted, they will continue to do everything they can.”
He explained that “the results are subject to the introductions, and the introductions do not concern the government, as long as it seeks to complete and achieve a census in its name and nothing else, even if it is in accordance with the national interest.”
He pointed out that the center’s lack of control over matters in the region and the western regions, the lack of an electronic and archival system that controls the accuracy of the census and the lack of tampering with the numbers, and the lack of coordination between the ministries designated to limit the numbers, including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Commerce, in addition to the lack of community awareness of such long-term strategic work,
