Pentagon Investigations .. Senior Employee Accused of Leaking Israeli Response Plans to IranShafaq News/ A Pentagon official said on Tuesday that a senior Pentagon employee was suspected of leaking Israeli response plans to Iran to parties in Tehran.

The official told Sky News Arabia, “The employee suspected of leaking documents of the Israeli military plan to strike Iran is an American of Iranian origin named Ariane Tabatabai.”

While awaiting the results of the official investigation, the official explained that the intelligence and armed services committees in Congress had been informed of this matter, especially since the suspect had a “top secret clearance that gives her the right to view highly classified information.”

The suspect, who has not yet been convicted, Ariane Tabatabai, is reportedly the director of the office of Assistant Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for Special Operations and International Conflict.

Members of the US Congress, especially Republicans, linked the suspect’s name to the investigations that targeted the US envoy to Iran, Robert Malley, who was referred to investigation after being suspected of having handled classified information without prior permission and of having secret contacts with Iranian figures.

Israeli Channel 14 reported on Tuesday that the Israeli plan to respond to the Iranian missile attack is ready, while indicating that it includes attacking the homes of Iranian officials, in response to the “assassination attempt” on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with a drone launched by Hezbollah at his home in northern Israel, a few days ago.

The channel reported that the Israeli army and the foreign intelligence agency presented Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yoav Galant with a plan to respond to the missile attack launched by Iran earlier this month.
