Today, Wednesday, Representative Hussein Arab warned the government against delaying sending the 2024 budget schedules, indicating that the delay reflects negatively on the government’s performance.
Arab told Al-Maalouma, “The budget schedules for the current year are long overdue, and need to be approved by the House of Representatives for the government to proceed with its projects.”
He expressed the House of Representatives’ readiness to “approve the budget schedules for the current year as soon as they reach the Parliamentary Finance Committee, noting that the delay in sending the schedules negatively affects the process of disbursing dues, in addition to stopping the investment and operational doors,”
and called on the government to “expedite sending the schedules.” Especially since the budget has not undergone any change and its chapters are fixed.”
