Parliamentary warning against attempts to impose US hegemony on important files

The representative of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Muhammad Karim, warned, on Friday, of the US administration’s attempts to impose hegemony on important files related to energy, security, and oil revenues, pointing to the importance of the government’s moves and its dealings with such actions by Washington.
Karim told Al-Maalouma, “America is pressing towards domination of decisions inside Iraq, especially in the field of energy, and trying to prevent the country from obtaining gas to operate power stations, as well as in the issue of armament and the security aspect.”
He added, “The American interventions are continuing, and the Sudanese government has confronted them and dealt with them with an appropriate tactic, at a time when Washington does not want Iraq to get out of its hegemony and authority.”
And he indicated that “the American attempts were not limited to arming and the energy file, but rather it sought to impose hegemony on the Iraqi money deposited with the Federal Bank and related to oil dues, as it represents Iraqi money, but the American administration continues to impose measures that impede the easy access of those amounts.”
