The Parliamentary Strategic Planning Committee confirmed, on Wednesday, its intention to monitor government performance and implement all budget items after their approval.
The deputy head of the committee, Muhammad Karim, said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that “a directive was issued by the committee’s presidency to monitor and evaluate the ministerial program directly and continuously by following up on the implementation and disbursement of federal budget funds according to the allocation to avoid wasting it.”
He added, “The Parliamentary Integrity Committee will work in cooperation with the Office of Financial Supervision to distribute committees to follow up the performance of government departments in all ministries and submit reports to the committees to see the extent of their implementation.”
And a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Youssef Al-Kalabi, had confirmed that the federal general budget had been sent to the President of the Republic for the purpose of approval.
