, the deputy of the Alliance of Saireon, Sadiq Al-Sulaiti, revealed on Monday a move to change the presidency of the House of Representatives.
Al-Sulaiti said, “After the executive authority was changed and confidence was given to the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi instead of the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, it became natural for the legislative authority to be changed at the level of the parliament’s presidency.” The previous political blocs were preoccupied with changing the executive authority, and two problems cannot be created simultaneously. ”
Al-Sulaiti added, “Now the movement has already started and we are seeking to enter into consultations with other political blocs to change the presidency of the parliament. There are subsequent steps that we will take successively towards this approach, which are all steps that do not fall outside the legal framework.” Parliament during the Halbossi presidency could not conduct an interrogation of any minister in the Abdul Mahdi’s government, nor could he bring any minister to answer the parliament’s questions. ”
