A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, called, on Tuesday, the State Administration Alliance to assume its responsibilities and expedite the long-awaited budget legislation.
Al-Maliki said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The budget was very late, and there are parliamentary moves to legislate it in order to revive the economy and improve the living conditions of the people.”
He added that “disputed clauses and paragraphs should resort to the constitution to resolve them,” noting that “the budget cannot be passed if it violates the terms and provisions of the constitutional articles.”
He explained that “the budget legislation is the responsibility of the state administration coalition, overcoming the points of contention between all parties, and reaching a common solution formula in accordance with the constitutional texts.”
