Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed a basic reason proving the involvement of the former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in stealing tax secretariat funds, while the theft tools were considered “purely governmental.”
Committee member Ali Al-Jamali said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the real and factual connection to evidence and confessions, which prove the involvement of the former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in the theft of the century, needs no more time.”
He added, “Al-Kazemi facilitated and planned the process of stealing tax secretariat funds by appointing Haitham Al-Jubouri as his financial advisor,” noting that “the evidence confirms that the one who planned the theft is Haitham Al-Jubouri.”
And Al-Jamali stated, “These tools are all purely governmental and not external,” noting that “higher government agencies in the office of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance intervened and facilitated matters, in the event that the disbursement of one of the financial instruments stopped.”
Earlier, the representative of the State of Law Coalition, Firas Al-Maslamawi, accused Western countries of harboring the corrupt in the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, calling on the government to issue international arrest warrants against all the corrupt.
The secrets of the theft of tax secretariat money and the personalities involved in it are revealed, day after day, at a time when fingers point to the involvement of officials of the previous government headed by Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and this was confirmed by the head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, recently, when he laid red lines around four senior personalities.
