A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Representative Hussein Munis, confirmed, on Monday, that the Finance Committee was keen to support the projects of the governorates after conducting the transfer of funds from failed or lagging projects to the governorates.

Moanes said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The Finance Committee was keen to strengthen the centralization of the transfer of funds for projects, as it focused on the spending that the government paid in the budget law on ministries’ projects,” noting that “most of the projects lagging through previous budgets are ministerial projects.” .

He added, “The number of failed and lagging ministerial projects amounted to about 6,240 projects, and therefore the committee decided to transfer funds to the governorates, as they will be elected governments and will be supervised by local councils that will be elected after months.”

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives voted on the federal budget law for the three years 2023, 2024 and 2025, after difficult labor.
