Revealed the parliamentary finance committee member Abdul Qader Mohammed that the customs tariff law will be applied in all Iraq’s northern and southern ports, pointing out that the Kurdistan region now applied tariff special law Comerakh the region and they can choose between two laws as required by the interests of the region.
Mohammed said in a statement to Radio tow the new customs tariff law issued by the central government for the benefit of the northern ports, especially since the province is applied tariff Kmarkip law imposes lesser amounts of the new law.
In response to the position of the local government of Basra reject the application of the new customs tariff law which was applied in the southern ports Mohammed explained that the local government of Basra obliged to apply it in case you have no objection or return to some of the paragraphs on appeal to the Federal Court pending the resolution would be the local government is obliged to apply it.
The Basra provincial council has refused to apply the decision of the Ministry of Finance to increase the customs tariffs on goods entering through border ports in Basra.
The president of the Basra Governorate Council Albzona morning about the possibility of the application of this decision in the western provinces and the Kurdistan region, indicating that the local government categorically rejects the application of any decision which excluded the western provinces and the Kurdistan region of the resolution to be applied only in the south.
