The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that next week will witness the vote on the draft federal budget law for 2021, confirming a major breakthrough in the Kurdistan talks.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Shirwan Mirza, said in a statement, “Next week will witness the vote on the draft federal budget law for 2021 after the completion of discussion of most of the budget articles.
He added, “There are some simple matters that the Finance Committee will complete in addition to the issue of the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget, indicating that the next few days will witness the decision of the Kurdistan region’s share.
He explained: There is flexibility from the political parties towards the issue of the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget and I imagine That there will be a joint agreement during the coming days to settle the Kurdistan Region’s share of the federal budget for 2021.
