Representative of the State of Law Coalition, Bahaa El-Din Al-Nouri, affirmed, on Saturday, that there are no differences over the paragraphs of the general budget law, adding that the government will set the price of a barrel of oil as low as possible in order to avoid the crisis of low global oil prices.
In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Al-Nouri said, “The government is working on evaluating oil prices and the price of a barrel, which will be fixed in the general budget.”
And he continued, “Parliamentary committees will work to study the budget paragraphs and amend them in accordance with the law and customs regarding the shares or paragraphs that will be voted on.”
Regarding fixing the price of a barrel of oil in the budget, it shows that “the government will work to fix the price of a barrel of oil as low as possible in order to avoid a drop in global oil prices in the future,” noting that “the government is lingering in fixing the price of a barrel after its prices fluctuated during this period.”
A member of the House of Representatives, Jassim Al-Moussawi, had revealed in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the date for approving the general budget law under the dome of parliament will be after two weeks,” noting that “the priorities of the parliamentary committees is to work to complete the reading of the paragraphs of the general budget in order to vote on it within The dome of the parliament.”
