Parliament votes to oblige the government to send the budget during this month

Wednesday (June 03, 2020), the House of Representatives voted on a resolution that obliges the Iraqi government to send the 2020 Budget Law this month.
A parliamentary source said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that “the House of Representatives voted on the form of a decision that obliges the government to expedite sending the federal budget bill, for the year 2020, no later than the end of this month.”
He added, “The House of Representatives finished the first reading of the draft domestic and external borrowing law to finance the fiscal deficit for the year 2020.”
Earlier in the day, Al-Halbousi instructed the General Secretariat of Parliament to address the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the purpose of sending the Budget Law for 2020.
On Wednesday (03 June 2020), the Iraqi Council of Representatives held the second session of the second legislative term, headed by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and attended by 184 deputies.
