Parliament moves to second round to elect its speaker

The House of Representatives decided, today, Thursday, to hold a second round of voting to elect its president.
The Parliament’s media department stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, “The votes in the first round were:
Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani: 153 votes.
Salem Al-Issawi: 95 votes.
Amer Abdul Jabbar: 9 votes
Invalid: 14 votes.
Earlier today, the House of Representatives opened its (16) session with the attendance of 195 representatives.
