The head of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Mahma Khalil, confirmed today, Sunday, that the governorates will witness a major change, while indicating that the coming period will witness the dismissal of governors who failed to perform their duties.
Khalil said in a press interview, “We will certainly soon witness a change in some governors who have failed miserably in providing services and not preserving the rights of their provinces.”
Khalil added, “After freezing work in the provinces and the end of the constitutional period today, the House of Representatives is the supervisory body for governors in their provinces.”
He pointed out that “the people are the source of the authorities, and they authorized us to carry out our supervisory and legislative performance, to preserve the constitutional oath, evaluate the governors, fight corruption, and a lot of suspicions in the governorates and delay in projects and services,” noting that “the governorates will witness a great change.”
