Parliament directed to increase the allocations of Article 140

Twilight News / The chairman of the Commission on Article 140 parliamentary Mohsen al-Sadoun, on Friday, headed for Parliament to demand higher allocations of Article 140 during the next budget.
Sadoun said in an interview with “Twilight News”, “The majority of the members of the House of Representatives in favor of increasing the allocations of Article 140 and brought to about 600 billion Iraqi dinars for the purpose of completing the first phase of the material contained in three phases.”
He added that al-Sadoun, “Compensation of Article 140 does not belong to only the provinces of Nineveh and Diyala, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, there are five other offices in the southern provinces.”
He pointed to al-Sadoun said his commission hopes to allocate the $ 600 billion dinars completion of the first phase of the application of Article 140.
He cited the Iraqi Constitution, ratified in 2005, Article 140, which provides for the normalization of the situation in areas disputed in other provinces, such as Nineveh and Diyala, and set a time limit expired on the 31st of December / December 2007 for the implementation of all provisions in the above-mentioned article of the proceedings, as left for the people of those areas of freedom of self-determination of both survival and independent administrative unit or attached to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by organizing a referendum.
